- Interaction of bioactive compounds with human gut microflora, specifically with Lactic Acid Bacteria
- Biological activity (antimicrobial, anticancer, antioxidant) & Bioavailability and Compositional analysis of bioactive compounds (HPLC, GC-MS)
- Development of in vitro human gut model system in controlled batch fermentor system
- Analysis of human gut microbiota by molecular techniques (qPCR, FISH)
- Biofilm formation on food contact surfaces and food products/ inhibition by natural compounds
